Being a creative soul, I often consider every possibility When I have an open canvas in front of me the possibilities are endless, yet something is always birthed into the blankness The process of creating is always a process of conquering ones fears and trusting in the process of surrendering into the creative force When I don t have an expectation of the outcome, but rather let myself play, magic always happens
I love painting women s portraits and I like to embellish the images with nature I layer birds, flowers, vines and plants I often use scraps that have been dyed, stitched, and painted to add layers to my paintings
There are symbolic overtones to my art, that reflect some inner process I am grappling with The mark making elements are a way for me to add texture and layers to my pieces Inspiration can come from anywhere, but nature is my biggest muse
