Coastal pigface also known as Kolbogo or Metjarak by the Noongar peoples, karkalla, pigface, sea fig, and beach banana, is a succulent groundcover plant native to coastal regions of southern and western Australia

Grows to be about 10 30 cm tall and can spread to 1 2 meters wide The fruit of the Karkalla grows to about the size of a grape, and turns a deep red when ripe

Prefers a light to medium well drained soil in an open sunny position Excellent tolerance to sandy coastal exposure Drought and frost resistant
