To achieve clean, straight holes, a plunge router is recommended, however this tooling is not always available A good alternative is to use a new sharp wood spade bit which, unlike normal drill bits, provides guidance on keeping holes straight while producing less damage to timber surfaces

These are available in the two sizes that are required for installing your system

• 13mm Spade Bit used for creating clean perpendicular holes in the door for mounting rollers

• 35mm Spade Bit used for removing plugs of GIB to install hard against a solid surface
